OpenEars teaches. It doesn't diagnose.
OpenEars is a free educational platform built to help people of all ages fall in love with science and medicine. It is not a substitute for medical care, and it never collects your personal information.
A learning platform
OpenEars exists to make science and medicine understandable and exciting for people of every age. It's a teaching tool, not a clinical one.
No data collection
No accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, no ads, no trackers. Your listening history and progress stay on your own device.
Always talk to a professional
Talk to a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist about symptoms, medication, injuries, or any other personal health concern. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Educational use only
Every OpenEars story explains an idea, such as how a heart moves blood, what a vaccine does, or what a radiologist does each day. The stories describe general science, not your particular situation.
Listening to a lesson about asthma, diabetes, or a broken bone doesn't mean you can identify, rule out, or treat any of them. Never delay care or change a medication because of something you heard here.
First aid and safety lessons
The First Aid & Safety chapter explains what emergency care looks like and why responders do what they do. It is not certification.
If you want to be able to act in a real emergency, take a hands-on CPR or first aid course from a certified instructor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first.
A short note about privacy
OpenEars has no accounts and no logins. We do not collect names, emails, ages, locations, or listening data. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising networks, and nothing sold or shared, because there's nothing to sell or share.
Progress, favorites, and streaks are stored locally on your own device so they work offline. Delete the app and that data goes with it. If you email me, I only have the email you chose to send.
Accuracy, careers, and content
Lessons are researched carefully and written in plain language, and science changes over time. If you spot something out of date or unclear, email me and I'll fix or re-record it.
When career stories are added, they will describe what different health care roles are generally like, not provide admissions, licensing, or employment guidance for any specific school, country, or program. Future patient stories will reflect one person's experience, not a typical outcome.
